DarkLXPro — Premium Algorithmic Reverb
A Lexicon-class algorithmic reverb built around a dense, modern 16-line Feedback Delay Network. Designed to deliver the lush, sparkling, “expensive” reverb sound of the most legendary studio hardware — without the rack space. From tight ambient rooms to massive 12-second halls, DarkLXPro is the reverb you reach for when nothing else will do.
16-Line FDN engine:
- 16 delay lines (double the typical 8) — much denser, smoother tail
- Hadamard 16×16 mixing matrix via 4-stage butterfly decomposition — maximum density at minimum CPU cost
- 16 coprime prime delays — mutually coprime values prevent flutter echoes and resonant artifacts
- Stereo line split: lines 0–7 → Left, lines 8–15 → Right — true stereo dispersion, not pseudo-stereo
- Stereo input diffusion: 2 × 4 allpass stages with offset delays
- Stereo cloud diffusion: 2 × 4 nested allpass stages — Lexicon-style dense reflection cloud
- Smooth ER → FDN crossfade — no audible split between early reflections and late field
- Frequency-dependent stereo width with constant-power mix law
Controls:
- Room Size (0.5–2.0) — virtual room dimensions
- Decay (0.1–12 s) — RT60 reverberation time
- Pre-Delay (0–500 ms) — separation between dry and reverb
- Damping (0–100%) — global tail darkening
- Low Damp (0–100%) — independent low-frequency damping in the feedback path
- High Cut (1 kHz – 20 kHz) — air control
- Low Cut (20 Hz – 1 kHz) — mud control
- ER Level (0–100%) — early reflections amount
- Mod Depth (0–100%) — internal modulation for natural tail movement (prevents metallic ringing)
- Width (0–200%) — stereo spread
- Ducking (0–100%) — automatic reverb attenuation while the dry signal is loud (keeps mixes clean)
- Mix (0–100%) dry/wet
