Refund Policy

1. All Sales Are Final

1.1 All purchases of Maniac Audio plugins are final and non-refundable. By completing your purchase, you acknowledge and accept this policy.

1.2 We strongly recommend trying our free plugins (DarkQ Free, DarkLx Free) before purchasing paid products to evaluate quality, compatibility, and workflow.

1.3 It is your responsibility to review product descriptions, system requirements, and supported formats before making a purchase.

2. Exception: Technical Issues

2.1 A refund may be considered only if the following conditions are met:

(a) The plugin has a verified technical defect that prevents it from functioning as described.

(b) You have contacted our support team and cooperated with troubleshooting steps.

(c) Our support team has confirmed that the issue cannot be resolved within a reasonable timeframe.

(d) The request is made within 14 days of the original purchase date.

2.2 Refunds will NOT be issued for:

(a) Change of mind, personal preference, or dissatisfaction with sound or features.

(b) Failure to read product descriptions or system requirements before purchase.

(c) Incompatibility with unsupported DAWs, operating systems, or hardware.

(d) Requests made after 14 days from the purchase date.

(e) Bundle purchases where plugins have been downloaded.

(f) Free plugins, trial versions, or products obtained through promotions or coupons.

3. Refund Timeframe

3.1 Refund requests must be submitted within 14 days of the original purchase date.

3.2 Requests submitted after 14 days will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis but are not guaranteed.

4. How to Request a Refund

To request a refund, please email us at support@maniacaudiovst.com with the following information:

(a) Your order number
(b) The email address used for the purchase
(c) The product name(s)
(d) The reason for your refund request
(e) If technical issue: your operating system, DAW, and a description of the problem

5. Refund Process

5.1 We will review your request and respond within 3–5 business days.

5.2 If a technical issue is reported, our support team may ask you to perform troubleshooting steps before a refund is considered.

5.3 Approved refunds will be processed via Stripe to the original payment method within 5–10 business days. Processing time may vary depending on your bank or payment provider.

5.4 Upon refund approval, your license will be revoked and download access will be removed from your account.

6. Chargebacks

6.1 We encourage you to contact us directly before initiating a chargeback with your bank or credit card company. We are committed to resolving issues fairly and promptly.

6.2 Filing a chargeback without first contacting Maniac Audio may result in permanent suspension of your account and revocation of all licenses.

7. EU Consumer Rights

7.1 Under EU consumer protection law, you have the right to withdraw from a purchase of digital content within 14 days — unless the download has begun with your explicit consent and acknowledgment that you lose the right of withdrawal.

7.2 By completing a purchase and downloading the Software, you acknowledge and agree that you are waiving your right of withdrawal as the digital content delivery has commenced.

8. Exchanges

We do not offer exchanges between products. If you wish to purchase a different plugin, you may do so separately. If eligible for a refund, you may request one and make a new purchase.

9. Changes to This Policy

Maniac Audio reserves the right to update this Refund Policy at any time. Changes will be posted at maniacaudiovst.com/refund_returns. The policy in effect at the time of your purchase applies to that transaction.
