DarkQ — Parametric Equalizer

A clean, focused parametric equalizer built on the same Maniac Audio 24-band engine that powers DarkQPro and DarkQMg — with a streamlined workflow for everyday mixing tasks. All the precision you need for vocal, drum, instrument, and mix bus EQ work, in a fast, easy-to-use interface.

Band engine:

• Up to 24 fully independent bands — each with its own frequency, gain, Q, filter type, slope
• 7 filter shapes: Bell, Low Shelf, High Shelf, Low Cut, High Cut, Notch, Tilt Shelf
• 5 slope options: 6, 12, 24, 48, 96 dB/oct (with cascade for steeper-than-real slopes)
• Per-band Stereo Mode: Stereo / Left / Right / Mid / Side

Dynamic EQ on every band:

• Per-band threshold, attack (default 60 ms), release (default 200 ms), range
• Downward compression mode (the standard, most-used mode)
• Auto Threshold for hands-free dynamic shaping
• Spectral Dynamic mode — 32-band per-frequency dynamics for transparent dynamic processing
• Spectral Target mode — visual frequency targeting

Phase modes:

• Zero Latency — minimum-latency RBJ biquad
• Natural — analog-matched phase response

Real-time analyzer:

• 4096-point FFT with 4× overlap
• Pre/Post spectrum display
• Configurable tilt, speed, range, and color
• Spectrum freeze

Workflow:

• Factory presets, undo/redo, multiple GUI themes
• Band solo, bypass per band
• A/B compare
