DarkDelay

A characterful echo/delay with selectable “styles” — each with its own saturation, modulation, and tone character. DarkDelay offers dual independent echo lines with tempo sync, ping-pong, tape-style wobble, a 6-band tweakable EQ on the repeats, and transformer color, covering everything from clean slapback to lush, warbly echoes.

Mode + Style

MODE (Single Echo / Dual Echo / Ping-Pong) — How the echo lines are routed. Single = one line; Dual = two independent echoes; Ping-Pong = repeats bounce between L and R.

STYLE (Digital / Analog / Telephone) — The character engine. Each models a different echo flavor with its own built-in saturation, tone, and modulation: Digital is clean, Analog is warm/BBD-style, Telephone is band-limited/lo-fi.

Echo timing

ECHO 1 / ECHO 2 TIME — Delay time for each line.

DIV (1/64 … 2/1) + SUBDIV (Time / Note / Dot / Trip) — Tempo-synced note divisions per echo, with straight/dotted/triplet feel (or free Time mode). Tempo follows the host automatically.

PRIME NUMBERS — Nudges the two echo times to prime-number ratios so the repeats interlock without lining up, for a more complex rhythmic pattern.

GROOVE / FEEL — Adds swing/timing humanization to the repeats.

Feedback + space

FEEDBACK — How much the echo feeds back into itself — number of repeats.

SIZE — Scales the delay/space character.

DIFFUSION — Smears the repeats toward a more reverb-like, blurred tail.

DUCK — Ducks the echoes when the dry input is loud, so repeats stay out of the way and bloom in the gaps.

WIDTH — Stereo width of the echoes.

Tone

LOW CUT / HIGH CUT — Filters on the repeats to shape the echo tone (darker, thinner, lo-fi).

TONE — Overall tonal tilt of the echoes.

Saturation

SATURATION — Extra drive/coloration on top of the style’s built-in character.

INPUT / OUTPUT — Level trims.

Wobble (modulation)

RATE — Wobble rate — the speed of the modulation (tape-style warble and movement).

DEPTH — Wobble depth — how strong the warble is.

Mix

MIX — Dry/wet balance.

Tweak panel (EQ + extras)

TWEAK button — Opens the advanced panel.

6-band parametric EQ — Shapes the repeats. The display has 6 bands; per band On, Type (Bell / LowShelf / HighShelf / HPF / LPF), Freq, Gain, Q, plus a Decay control (a multiplier on that band’s gain across successive repeats — so the tone can evolve as the echo fades, e.g. each repeat getting darker).

LOOP / POST — Whether the EQ sits inside the feedback loop (tone changes with each repeat) or only post (applied once at the output).

TRANSFORMER (combobox) — Output transformer emulation (17 models) for added iron/harmonic color on the echoes.

OUT SAT — Additional output saturation.

RANDOM WALK — Adds random drift to the modulation for a more organic, less cyclic wobble.

CUSTOM SAT — Enables a custom saturation curve.

Metering

IN / OUT meters (L/R) — Input and output level metering.
