Ancient Clarinet
An expressive clarinet for Maniac Player, built for ethnic, folk and cinematic melodies. Real clarinet recordings, tuned and looped note by note, with a brighter, more nasal colour and eleven playing styles: wide vibrato, slides, ornaments, trills and falls, all played from real recordings, not synthesis.

Instruments
ANCIENT CLARINET — All eleven articulations in one instrument, switched with keyswitches.
ANCIENT CLARINET VIBRATO / SUSTAIN / STACCATO — One articulation each.

Articulations
VIBRATO (C0) — Wide, singing vibrato that grows in after the attack.
SUSTAIN (C#0) — Straight tone, no vibrato.
STACCATO (D0) — Short notes with 2 round robins.
GLIDE (D#0) — Slides up into the note from below.
MORDENT (E0) — Quick turn to the note above and back.
GLISS (F0) — Long glissando up from a fourth below.
FALL (F#0) — The note drops away at the end.
GRACE NOTE (G0) — A short grace note before the main note.
CRY (G#0) — A crying bend inside the note.
TRILL TONE (A0) — Whole-tone trill.
TRILL SEMITONE (A#0) — Half-step trill, ideal for Hijaz and Bayati phrases.
