DarkLXPro

A professional algorithmic reverb built on a 16-line feedback delay network (FDN16) — the lush, dense, “high-end hardware” class of reverb sound. DarkLXPro offers eight reverb algorithms, a full set of tone/modulation controls, a tweakable 6-band EQ on the reverb tail, transformer saturation, and a preset library, making it suitable for everything from tight rooms to vast cathedral spaces and creative shimmer effects.

Algorithm + presets

ALGORITHM (Hall / Plate / Room / Chamber / Ambience / Cathedral / Shimmer / Reverse) — Selects the core reverb type/topology.

PRESET (combobox + prev/next arrows) — Browse the built-in preset library; selecting a preset auto-loads the matching algorithm.

Core reverb controls

SIZE (0.5…2.0×) — Scales the size of the modeled space.

DECAY (0.1…12 s) — Reverb time (RT60) — how long the tail rings out.

DAMP (0…100%) — High-frequency damping, simulating how a room’s surfaces absorb highs over the decay. More = darker, faster-decaying highs.

LOW DAMP (0…100%) — Same idea for the low end — controls how quickly lows decay.

PRE-DELAY (0…500 ms) — Gap before the reverb starts, separating the dry source from the tail for clarity.

ER LEVEL (0…100%) — Level of the early reflections relative to the reverb tail.

Tone shaping

LOW CUT (20…1000 Hz) — High-pass on the reverb to keep mud out of the tail.

HIGH CUT (1k…20k Hz) — Low-pass to roll off the top of the tail.

TILT (−1…+1) — Spectral tilt; darkens or brightens the overall reverb balance.

Modulation

MOD RATE (0.01…5 Hz) — Speed of the internal modulation that keeps the tail moving and avoids metallic ringing.

MOD DEPTH (0…100%) — Amount of that modulation — adds lushness and chorus-like movement.

Creative

SHIMMER (0…100%) — Pitch-shifted feedback that adds an octave-up sheen to the tail (the shimmer effect).

DUCK (0…100%) — Ducks the reverb when the dry input is loud, so the reverb stays out of the way during the performance and blooms in the gaps.

Stereo / mix

WIDTH (0…200%) — Stereo width of the reverb. 100% = normal.

MIX (0…100%) — Dry/wet balance.

IN GAIN / OUT GAIN (±dB) — Input and output level trims.

Tweak panel (EQ + saturation)

TWEAK button — Opens the advanced panel.

6-band parametric EQ — Shapes the reverb tail. Display with per-band Type (Bell/Low Shelf/High Shelf/HPF/LPF), Freq/Gain/Q.

TRANSFORMER (combobox) — Output transformer emulation, 17 options (None, Carnhill, Sowter, Cinemag, Marinair, Haufe V72, Triad HS-30, Reichenbach, EA Edcor, Neve 1272, API 2520, UTC A-20, Peerless S-415, St Ives, Lundahl LL1538, Jensen JT-11, Tamura TKS-27) for added iron/harmonic color on the reverb.
